In an era where misinformation and media manipulation run rampant, Assal Rad, a historian of the modern Middle East, has taken it upon herself to correct headlines that misrepresent the realities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Through her efforts, she reveals the power of narrative and the critical role headlines play in shaping public perception.
You make such an important point, Oussama. We have to be discerning about the news we expose ourselves to, since there's so much propaganda right now, blatant and subtle.
What is also disturbing to me is that politicians of the western world are parroting it. Last week, for example, many high level politicians were talking about the 'false equivalence between a democracy like Israel and a terrorist organization like Hamas'. From hearing this, you'd think it was Hamas committing the genocide, and not Israel.
Thanks so much for sharing Assal Rad's work. I'm now following her on X.
Hi Diana! you're absolutely right, the spread of propaganda is indeed alarming and politicians amplifying it only exacerbates the problem. Just yesterday, I saw a video of German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock at the "Democracy Festival" in Berlin claiming to have seen a nonexistent video of a rape filmed by a Hamas fighter.
Oussama Horchani, what an excellent presentation! Your comments are profoundly important and relevant. Assal Rad performs a crucial service in pointing out how the genocide being perpetrated in Gaza by Israel, and enabled by the US and other western collaborators, is being systematically and deliberately distorted and whitewashed by our widely corrupt and biased so-called media’. This cynical and grotesque deception is also, as she notes, being repeated by our politicians and others in an attempt to justify the horrific insanity of mass murder and pervasive criminality. Outstanding work.

Assal Rad's work is essential in exposing these biases and bringing the truth to light. Thanks for supporting her mission!
My pleasure. We need people who translate the msm gaslighting so that it makes sense.
